Frequently Asked Questions
There are several reasons why your location might not appear:
- Browser Permission: Make sure you've allowed location access when prompted.
- Device Settings: Check that GPS/Location Services are enabled on your device.
- Indoor Accuracy: GPS works best outdoors. Try moving near a window or outside.
- Use Manual Mode: If GPS isn't working, use the manual location feature to set your position.
To enable push notifications:
- Click the bell icon in the navigation controls and enable notifications.
- When your browser asks for permission, click "Allow".
- Check that your browser's notification settings aren't blocking this site.
- Ensure you're logged in with your account.
If the route doesn't look right:
- Recalculate: Tap the recalculate button to get a fresh route.
- Check Your Location: Make sure your starting position is accurate.
- Report Issue: Use the "Report Issue" button to let us know about problems with specific routes.
Currently, an internet connection is required for:
- Loading the campus map
- Searching for locations
- Calculating routes
We recommend staying connected to campus WiFi for the best experience.
Voice guidance provides turn-by-turn audio instructions:
- Click the speaker icon in the map controls to toggle voice on/off.
- Make sure your device volume is turned up.
- Ensure your device is not on silent mode.
If voice search is not starting or no text appears after recording:
- Allow Microphone Access: Check your browser permission prompt and allow microphone use for this site.
- Use a Supported Browser: Updated Chrome, Edge, or another modern mobile browser works best.
- Record Clearly: Speak after the listening indicator appears, and keep background noise low.
- Try Again Later: If the voice service is temporarily unavailable, type your search instead and retry after refreshing the page.

Enable voice guidance in settings for hands-free navigation around campus.
Location Settings
- GPS Location: Tap the crosshairs button to activate automatic GPS tracking.
- Manual Mode: If GPS is unavailable, click the map marker button and tap your location on the map.
- Retry GPS: Click "Try GPS Again" if automatic detection fails initially.

Voice Search
Optional- Start Recording: Tap the microphone icon on supported search screens to begin listening.
- Speak Naturally: Say a building name, office, room code, or place like "Registrar", "Library", or "SCI 301".
- Wait for Results: The app transcribes your speech and fills the search field automatically.
- Fallback to Typing: If voice search is unavailable, you can still type normally without losing any search features.
Best Results
Hold the phone close enough for clear audio and wait for the listening state before speaking.
Say official room codes or common campus names to improve matching accuracy.
If permission was denied earlier, re-enable microphone access in your browser or device site settings.
